How it works

Defeat the triple threat:
Environments, Data, and Tests
Adopt across engineering teams for faster development and testing.
Step 01
Capture Real Traffic
- Capture and analyze inbound, outbound, traffic patterns, load, ramp patterns, etc.
Step 02
Data filtering & analysis
- Create traffic "snapshots" that contain tests and mocks
- Modify and transform snapshots to replace data, session tokens, etc.
Step 03
Traffic replay and mock backends
- Replay traffic to validate code.
- Provision realistic environments, with good data, and realistic tests every code commit.
Step 04
Adoption and scaling
- Integrate with CI/CD for automated production traffic validation.
- Expand to other teams, understand performance and regression after every commit.
Service discovery and mocking
Sometimes you may not know your own apps dependencies.
Use Speedscale to explore the environment specific to the APIs and databases YOU care about, autogenerate mocks for just what you need, and save on big cloud environments.

Multiply user traffic for more realistic load testing
Multiply or loop sanitized user traffic and find your throughput, latency, and breaking point.
Whether you’re looking to understand behavior under 2x or 10x production load, Speedscale can stress your systems based on real traffic patterns, every commit.
Designed for Kubernetes

On Demand Data generation
Create data conditions you need, and augment production-like schemas that you observe from real user traffic to trigger happy-path and edge case conditions.
IHG Hotels & Resorts selects Speedscale as their
“one-stop-shop” for test environments and data
IHG Hotels & Resorts is a multinational hospitality company that manages over 6,000 hotels in 100 countries. Their diverse portfolio of properties includes leading brands like Holiday Inn, Kimpton, Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental Hotels, and more.
Challenge
IHG Hotels & Resorts launched a leadership initiative to enhance developer experience and productivity during their migration to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). The focus was on scaling environments for load and functional testing to improve deployment speed and quality by removing developer roadblocks.
The team faced challenges with time-intensive setups using tools like Akamai CloudTest, ReadyAPI, and WireMock, along with large staging environments. These issues worsened as the number of test cases increased.
Solution
DK discovered Speedscale through a colleague’s recommendation, drawn by its “one-stop-shop” approach, consolidating load testing and API mocking into one tool. Its automated, traffic-driven testing eliminated manual processes, standardized workflows, and improved consistency.
“The Speedscale founders and core engineers all have a strong engineering background. They have the scar tissue from their past DevOps experiences, and it shows in how battle-tested and well-thought-out the Speedscale product is for developers.”
–Dinakar (DK) Machikalapudi, Head of Enterprise Services, Platforms, Support and DevSecOps
Cimpress reduces load testing time by 80% with Speedscale
A global eCommerce company that produces custom marketing materials for small businesses. Millions of customers worldwide use their design and printing services to create business cards, signage, promotional items, stationary, gifts, and more.
Challenge
As Principal Software Engineer, Jeff Kwan leads a team of API engineers that manages the software and product data behind Cimpress’ expansive catalog.
Jeff’s team had inherited legacy software from a different team and was looking to migrate off of it. He realized they needed a solution to test that the new software worked the same way as the old one. To describe the challenge he was facing
Solution
One year later, Jeff and his team report that they are incredibly pleased with their experience and the results they’ve achieved with Speedscale.
He appreciates how open the Speedscale team is to receiving product feedback, and is excited to have his team trial some new features, like local desktop testing and auto-updating of web tokens.
Speedscale’s offering is really, really good. The products, especially Traffic Viewer and Diff Viewer, and the overall developer-centric experience are all very polished
